For the UI Design course offered by California Institute of the Arts, I was tasked with creating the UI design for an app. There were a few different prompts to choose from for this project, and I chose to design an app for a delivery app for college students to order coffee at all hours of the day and night. The first assignment was to create a moodboard, shown below:

I made a word map with a pencil and paper to brainstorm the name for my app. I came up with "Midnight Jitters," which I liked because it references the idea of drinking coffee at night and sounds catchy.

The next step was to create buttons, icons, and other visual elements for the app. I used Adobe Illustrator to draw the vector images, create a color palette, and choose typefaces. I used my moodboard as inspiration and also looked at a wide variety of other food delivery apps to get more ideas.

Lastly, I used the design elements I had chosen (typefaces, colors, buttons, images, etc.) to create two screens for Midnight Jitters.
